【Core Process & Workflow】
1. Precision Trimming: The strip edges pass through the Side Trimmer section, where paired upper and lower rotating circular blades continuously shear off irregular edges.
2. Online Tool Change (Trimming): Utilizing a turret double-head design, one head works while the other stands by. Upon detecting blade wear, the turret rotates 180° instantaneously, swapping in the fresh head without stopping the line.
3. Scrap Chopping: The continuous trimmed scrap edge is immediately fed into the Scrap Chopper inlet. Mirroring the trimmer’s design, the chopper uses dual turrets with paired discs to chop the scrap into uniform segments (typically 150–250mm).
4. Scrap Discharge: Chopped scrap pieces fall onto a belt conveyor or chute for removal from the plant.
5. Online Tool Change (Chopping): When the chopping blades wear out, the turret swiftly switches to the standby head, ensuring the fragmentation process never interrupts.
