Recently, good news came from Xiangyang High-Tech Zone (Free Trade Zone). Xiangyang Jiade Machinery Co., Ltd., a key local enterprise, stood out in the final of the 14th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Hubei Division) and won the second prize with the project "In-situ Additive Repair Technology for Cracks of Aircraft Key Load-Bearing Structures via Cold Spraying".

A total of 16 high-quality sci-tech enterprises competed in the growth group of this competition. Scoring 88.66 points, Xiangyang Jiade Machinery ranked 14th and won the second prize. Other participants covered high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, new generation information technology, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection and other popular sectors.

Adopting cold spraying technology, this project deposits metal coatings on aircraft key load-bearing structures such as wing beams and fuselage frames to realize precise repair of crack defects. It avoids thermal deformation caused by traditional welding, greatly improving the service life and safety of aerospace components with remarkable military and economic benefits.
